Hello,
I like your series about Life in College and Life after College…however I would like to encourage you to interview other students that didn’t choose a 4 year college degree. I have three children, all who graduated from Dublin High School but chose not to go to College. All three are gainfully employed and have followed their dreams. My oldest works for Verizon and lives on his own in Pleasanton. My middle child served in the Marine Corps for 4 years and now works for UPS. My youngest took advantage of the ROP program and did Cosmetology ROP program her Senior year. She is now working at a salon as a full time hairstylist and lives on her own. I understand we need to encourage our students to think of college but college isn’t for everyone. We need to encourage students to look into trade jobs as well. Please One Dublin broaden your scope and interview students that chose a different route other than College.
Thank you!
Thanks for your comment. We have profiled multiple students who have attended two year colleges and technical programs and would love more stories like those. Please send us leads for profiles to editor@onedublin.org.
