The 3rd Annual Raise Your Class Event – a Big Success!

Things seemed a bit uncertain for our Gala this year with our attendance down by about 20% yet somehow we managed to make even more money than the two prior years we have had this event!    Raise Your Class 2010 made close to $12,000!  This means that the PFSO general fund will receive close to $5,000 while each class will receive approximately $1,700 for their Safe and Sober grad night accounts.

Event chairpersons Stacey Maloney and Yvonne Nickles would like to thank helpers Danny Maloney, Mark Nickles, Karen and Tom (you’re not getting past me without buying some raffle tickets) Nealon, Joy McCully, Wendy Mason, Perry and Tricia Tucker.  We would also like to extend a special thank you to our evening’s auctioneer, Tim Sbranti.  He did a great job and we really appreciate him taking time out of his busy schedule to help make this DHS event a success!

A special thanks for those who were able to come to the event this year and who generously spent money to help our school and benefit our students.

In these very difficult economic times, the PFSO truly appreciates the monetary donations made by these business community members who show how much they value our children, our school, and our community:

Please consider these businesses for your family’s future needs.

Pertussis Immunization Reminder

Pertussis is widespread.  If your child 10 years and older has not yet received the “Tdap” pertussis booster shot, please contact your doctor or health department.  Getting a booster shot now will protect your child against the ongoing threat of pertussis and meet a new school requirement that begins in the 2011-12 school year (California law – Assembly Bill 354).

Adults are also advised to get a pertussis booster shot, if they haven’t already, to protect themselves, their families, and their students.
