Below are the latest updates from the Dublin High School PFSO.  Previous updates are available here.

  • We don’t have all the numbers in for the Raise Your Class Gala but we can tell you that our Edgar Renteria ball was auctioned off for $500!  Look for more information to come about our big fundraiser!
  • DHS has it’s Battle for the Shalale football game vs. Dougherty Valley on Friday night, 7:00p.m. at Dougherty Valley High in San Ramon. Try to come out and support our team if you are able.Tri-Valley Community TV will broadcast the Dublin H.S. vs Dougherty Valley H.S. football game.  The game will NOT be shown LIVE.   It is scheduled to air on Saturday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. on Channel 30.  Join hosts Ian Bartholomew and George “Dr. B” Baljevich with field reporting by Anna Kagarakis.  Interviews during the game will include coaches, players and more.  Dublin Mayor Tim Sbranti will open the game as well as provide commentary.

For a complete schedule of air dates and times, visit the Tri-Valley TV website www.trivalleytv.org. In addition, the games will be available via Video on Demand at our website the following Monday, November 15th.  DVD’s of the game may also be purchased on the website.

  • Pertussis is widespread.  If your child 10 years and older has not yet received the “Tdap” pertussis booster shot, please contact your doctor or health department.  Getting a booster shot now will protect your child against the ongoing threat of pertussis and meet a new school requirement that begins in the 2011-12 school year (California law – Assembly Bill 354). Adults are also advised to get a pertussis booster shot, if they haven’t already, to protect themselves, their families, and their students.
  • Our Dublin Boy Scout Troops will be collecting food in their annual Scouting for Food drive on Sat. November 20th.  I will be emailing out a flier next week.  It will be easy to participate, you just have to leave items on your porch along with the flier.  Donated food items will be donated to local families in need.
  • Dublin Partners in Education (DPIE)’s next big event is the “Ball at the Mall” on New Year’s Eve.  This is a fun way to celebrate the new year while helping Dublin Partner’s in Education in supporting our schools!  More information DPIE New Year’s Eve Ball at the Mall or www.theballatthemall.org.
  • The Las Positas College Music Department has announced a Solo Piano Competition for young artists, ages 14 through 24. The winner will perform George Gershwin’s, “Rhapsody in Blue” at the May 4, 2011 Orchestra Concert as part of the inaugural season for the new Barbara Fracisco Mertes Center for the Arts. The application deadline is February 10, 2011, and the selection will take place in February. To request application forms and information, please contact Music instructor Mary Campbell, mcampbell@laspositascollege.edu, (925) 424-1118.
  • Please remember that while the kids are off of school on Thursday for Veteran’s Day, they still have school on Friday.  I know some child out there is scheming to trick their unsuspecting parent but never fear, Cyber Stacey has your back!

That’s all for now!

Take care,

Cyber Stacey- Dublin High PFSO
