STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCHEON IS COMING

The PFSO will be honoring the staff at Dublin High by hosting a luncheon in their honor on Friday, May 9th.

Each class will be responsible for providing specific items for the lunch of over 100 staff members.

Please look for a separate email from your Class Parent Representatives to find out what donated items are needed. Your support is always appreciated.

Dublin High School Site Council Positions Available

There are two open positions for the School Site Council (SSC) for parent members who have students attending Dublin High School in the 2014 – 2015 school year. The SSC is an advisory board consisting of equal representation of parents, students, school employees, and the principal, and it meets at 3:15 the fourth Monday of each month. Elected members serve a two-year term. The SSC meets once a month to plan, review, and implement programs that benefit Dublin High School students. If you are interested, please email Michael Utsumi no later than Friday, May 9th at michael.utsumi@gmail.com with a brief bio and summary of why you would like to be on the DHS SSC. Be sure to include the grade levels of all your students at DHS next year. A ballot of all interested candidates will then be sent out for vote via the school’s e-blasts to all parents of current 8th-11th graders. Voting will conclude on May 14th.

Remedial Summer School Information

Summer school applications for the remedial summer school are available on the district website. If you have been advised by your counselor that you need to attend summer school, please print off an application, fill it out completely, and return it to Counseling as soon as possible. Summer school fills up quickly and students are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. If your grades have fallen in a class after the third quarter grades were posted and you are in danger of earning a “D” or an “F” grade in a course that is offered in summer, fill out a summer school application and turn it in for counselor authorization, even if you did not receive a summer school card in the mail. Grades of “C” or better may not be remediated in summer school.
