THE 6th ANNUAL RAISE YOUR CLASS A Great 80’s Success!
This year’s Gaela raised over $15,000. This means that the PFSO general fund will receive close to $6,000, while each class will receive approximately $2,250 for their Safe and Sober Grad Night accounts.
A sincere thank you to everyone who embraced a new venue, the 80’s night theme, bid on auction items and dressed up in their best (and worst) outfits to support our students!
Event chairperson Michelle McDonald would like to thank her RYC committee, including Deb Lloyd, Dana Priest, Vickie Constantinides, Michele Wieser, Robin Malfatti, Kristen Finn, Rob and Chris Bennett, Leann Nobida, Colleen Schoenthal, Katherine Utsumi, Darby Lampi and Puran Moorjani for their amazingly hard work. And thank you to everyone who helped out that night, donated auction items, sponsored teacher tables and contributed to make the night a great success.
We are a great community and on nights like this, it shows!
RAISE YOUR CLASS SPONSOR THANK YOU
In these very difficult economic times, the PFSO truly appreciates the monetary donations made by these business community members who show how much they value our children, our school, and our community.

For Juniors
The Junior Book of Secrets presentation is given by our Counseling Dept. at 6 pm on December 4th in the Student Union. Both juniors and their parents are encouraged to attend this valuable presentation. Topics include: life after high school, college planning (2 year, 4 year, and vocational) and testing options for colleges. This will be valuable information to use during junior and senior years.
Sophomores Mark Your Calendars!
On Tuesday, December 17th ALL sophomores will be taking The PLAN test. The test will be administered during periods 1-3.
Valuable for all 10th-grade students, the PLAN test measures academic progress in high school. It is designed to improve students’ preparation for education, training, and work after high school while they still have time to adjust their high school courses. PLAN has content similar to the ACT® test.
Taking PLAN is a great way to prepare for the ACT. In fact, students who take PLAN tend to score higher on the ACT than students who do not take PLAN. It covers the same subjects—English, mathematics, reading, and science—and provides an estimated ACT score.
PLAN points out academic strengths and areas where improvement is needed and lets students know if they’re on track for college. PLAN also helps them find careers that match their interests and even helps connect them with colleges interested in them.
PLAN includes four multiple-choice tests covering English, mathematics, reading, and science.
PLAN also includes a 72-item interest inventory that asks questions about the types of work tasks students would or would not like to do.
