Dublin High Pathways to College

January 22, 2010

Meet two impressive Dublin High seniors from the Class of 2010.  Both have been inspired to pursue college degrees by the Dublin High ROP (Regional Occupational Program), part of the Tri-Valley ROP.  These Dublin High seniors recently spoke at a Dublin Unified School District board meeting about their experiences at Dublin High School and their college plans.

Our first senior, Principal’s Honor Roll student Kaylee Moser, joined Dublin High in 9th Grade after graduating from Valley Christian School, excited by the opportunity to take Dublin High ROP Multimedia starting in her junior year.  With dreams of becoming a film maker from a young age she took full advantage of the diverse choice offered by Dublin High, and recently learned of early acceptance into Biola University.

The second senior profiled, Irving Lopez, will be pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in college after graduating from Dublin High.  Mr. Lopez immigrated to the United States from El Savador and commutes to Dublin High from Hayward every day because of the opportunities offered by Dublin High’s Regional Occupational Program (ROP).  Dublin High ROP Animation provided the perfect outlet for his artistic dreams.  Most recently he was part of the Dublin High team behind the shortlisted entry in the Milkquarious competition sponsored by the California Milk Board.

Congratulations to these outstanding Dublin High seniors!
