STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCHEON IS COMING
The PFSO will be honoring the staff at Dublin High by hosting a luncheon in their honor on Friday, May 10th.
Each class will be responsible for providing specific items for the lunch of over 100 staff members.
Please look for a separate email from your Class Parent Representatives to find out what donated items are needed. Your support is always appreciated.
Site Council Positions Available
There are two open positions on the DHS School Site Council (SSC) for parents who have students attending Dublin High School in the 2013 – 2014 school year.
The SSC is an advisory board consisting of equal representation of parents, students, school employees, and the principal. The SSC meets once a month to plan, review, and implement programs unique to Dublin High School. Meetings are typically held one Monday a month at 3:15 pm on DHS campus. Elected members typically serve a two-year term. However, one of the open seats we are looking to fill is for the remaining year of a two year term. Therefore, we have one 2-year position up for election, and one 1-year position up for election.
If you are interested in either of these positions, please email Jean Josey at jijosey@mindspring.com with the following information:
- First and Last name
- The position (length of term – 1 year or 2) in which you are interested
- Name and grade of your child(ren) at DHS for the 2013-2014 school year
- A brief bio about yourself
All names need to be submitted by Friday, May 10th. These names will then go onto a ballot for voting and will be finalized by May 31st.
Campaign for Volunteerism Summit
The PFSO is initiating a conversation about volunteerism in our school community.
We want to talk about it and bounce around some ideas.
Please plan to attend this important brain storming session to promote more volunteering at DHS. The summit will take place on Saturday May 18th at 10a.m. in the DHS Library. All are welcome.
