Signups going on now for ASVAB aptitude test
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, the most widely used multiple aptitude test battery in the world, assesses a student’s ability to learn new skills and is a predictor of success in training and education programs.
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program offers more than just a test. It includes an interest-inventory and other activities and resources designed to help students explore the world of work and gain confidence in making career decisions.
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors can sign up in the Career Center for the ASVAB given on November 14th This is a great career/interest inventory for everyone, but is required for any students wanting to enlist in any branch of the military in the future. Scores are not released to the military unless the student specifically requests it. There will be an interpretation of the ASVAB results in December.

News from the Dublin High School Career Center
–College Visits are slowing down and scholarship searches are speeding up. We will have a few college visits in November. They included Santa Fe University of Art and Design on November 8th and the University of Massachusetts, Lowell on November 26th. In addition, there will be an Air Force ROTC Scholarship presentation on November 1st. Please check the Career Center website calendar for additional details.
If you have a daughter interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) subjects, we hope she has considered joining GetSet (Girls Exploring Technology, Science and Engineering Together). GetSet is an extra-curricular enrichment group that introduces girls to a variety of STEM careers through hands-on workshops and field trips. The student/parent orientation is on November 7th here at Dublin High. If your daughter is interested and has not received a brochure, send her to the Career Center today.
Dublin High receives more scholarship opportunities every week. A current scholarship list is posted on the Career Center website and is available in the Career Center.
Homework Club is held in the Career Center after school until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. CSF member students are available as peer students if your student needs homework help.
Finally, if your student is looking for a part-time job, the Job Board is displaying a few openings. Remember all high school students, even those that are 18, need a work permit. Students pick up a work permit request in the Career Center and return the completed form to the Career Center for issue of the permit.
E-Scrip Renewal
