PSAT Results Night

PSAT Results Night is Wednesday, Jan. 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Union. All students who took the exam on October 20th should plan to attend this informational night to get their results. A representative from Revolution Prep will be there to go over your results and teach you how to use them as a study guide for the SAT.

Parents are encouraged to come as well and have their questions answered about college admissions tests.

If you are unable to attend this night you can pick up your results during lunch or after school in the counseling office starting January 10th.

Principal’s Coffee

Please join Principal Carol Shimizu for coffee on Friday, Jan. 18th at 9:00 a.m. in the Staff Lounge. Parents are encouraged to bring their questions and comments. Ms. Shimizu would like to extend the invitation to any middle school parents who would like to attend.

Fundraisers Galore

Regal movie tickets will be on sale every Friday in front of Student during lunch. Ticket prices are $7.50 per ticket for non-pass-restricted movies.
Please contact Cyber Stacey at dublinhighpfso@dublinhighpfso.com or call Yvonne at 828-7060 or Stacey at 833-0884 to make arrangements if you want to buy in bulk or cannot make it to DHS at lunch time. This fundraiser benefits the Class of 2014.

Weekly Bingo starts Tuesday, Jan. 8th from 6:45-9p.m. in the Student Union. Must be 21 years or older to play. Hosted by the DHS Irish Guard
Music Boosters. *No bingo on January 29th

ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS

The Class of 2013 Presale Pack is here. Purchase for Senior Banquet, Senior Picnic, and Grad Night all for $185. The presale price will be available for the pack until 1/31/12. Prices on these events will go up after the presale time.

Payment can be made by check (payable to DHS Class of 2013) or online with a credit card at http://www.dublinhighpfso.com and click on the PFSO store button.

For more info, contact 2013 parent reps: Linda Hunt at huntlinda@dublin.k12.ca.us (remember to put DPRIDE in the subject line) or Lisa Cheda at ljc32@comcast.net

For Parents of Spring Sport Athletes

Spring Sports (Baseball, Softball, Track and Field, Boys and Girls Lacrosse, Swimming, Boys Tennis and Boys Golf) will be here before you know it. Tryouts officially start on Feb. 4th. This means that it is Athletic Packet time. If your student has already done a Fall or Winter sport you will just need to have your student talk to Mrs. Oravetz in Student Activities once school resumes and she can transfer the packet.

If this is your student’s first Athletic packet for the year, one of the key items is a physical form that must be completed by a doctor. You can either take it to your child’s personal physician or there will be a sports physical night sometime in mid to late January where your student can have a sports physical for a nominal fee. Cyber Stacey will send out more details when they become available.

PARENT INPUT WANTED

Safe Routes to Schools is going to conduct a walk audit on Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 7:30 – 9:30 am, meeting in the lobby of the Administration offices. We are inviting parents, students, city staff, and school administration to provide their input on ways to improve the safety of the streets around Dublin High School. If you are unable to attend the audit, please feel free to email me with input that you would like us to consider. To RSVP or message me directly, please email akronovet@transformca.org.

Community Thanks

Aéropostale in Stoneridge Mall made a generous donation on behalf of our school to the Toys for Tots program. Their manager Chris, and their employees, some of our students, Alexandria Caterina, Danielle Moon, Patrick Wallace, Nicole Newman and Emma Neckar donated 48 teddy
bears. Thank you!

Thanks to the generosity of the DHS Band students and parents who contributed so generously as part of their attendance at the Winter Concert. As a school we collected over 500 toys for needy Dublin children. ** A big thank you is also owed to Mens’ Warehouse for donating all of the tuxedos used in our Mr. Dublin pageant.
