Dublin High School has one band which requires experience. That band is divided according to families of instruments. All Woodwind & Brass players will be in this band and then be combined with the Percussion Advanced Band. The band is both a Marching Band and Concert Band.. The Marching Band portion of the course is for from August –– November. Because of the need to rehearse together, the Marching Band meets one night a week and on several Saturdays. Competitions are on Saturdays. The band/guard competes in field shows only. There may be other activities the school, community, and athletic department may need a band to support; yet, we will do our very best to make those additional performances few. The remaining of the school year we focus on performing the highest level of concert music available. There will be one formal concert band concert in the Fall Semester and two concerts in the Spring Semester. Scheduling conflicts will be handled on an individual basis.
