In this course, which is a graduation requirement, students study fundamental economic concepts, appreciate how the principle concepts of economics relate to each other, and understand the structure of our nation’s economic system. The goal of the course is to help students make reasoned judgements about economic policies which affect their lives. Focal points of this course include understanding terminology, interpreting tools of analysis, identifying economic indicators, studying the use of goods and services, understanding the role of market and elements in the economy, identifying forms of business organizations, and analyzing the role of government.
