December 9, 2016

Dublin, California fans of Kari Byron and MythBusters are in luck as Kari re-unites with Tory Belleci and Grant Imahara (aka “The Build Team”) for Netflix’s new series “The White Rabbit Project“, streaming starting today. The program looks at history’s greatest inventions, heists and more and from the producers of MythBusters.

Back in 2012 Kari Byron and MythBusters co-host Adam Savage headlined the Dublin High School Engineering and Design Academy Open House during Engineering Week 2012. Over 50 episodes of MythBusters were filmed in an around Dublin and according to Byron “Sooner or later we seem to find the right place. You know, we are very, very lucky to film in the Bay Area because we have just such a wealth of things to pull from, and Dublin in particular. The bomb range has made it possible for us to do so many things that we couldn’t do anywhere else.” (source)

Since then Byron and MythBusters parted ways, and Byron went on to host Thrill Factor (with Tory Belleci), Head Rush, Punkin Chunkin, and LDRS (that’s Large and Dangerous Rocket Ships). According to Deadline, in the White Rabbit Project Kari, Grant and Tory “head down the rabbit hole to investigate weird and wonderful events from pop culture, science and history. Under their microscope are topics as diverse as jailbreaks, superpower technology, heists and crazy world war two weapons. In each episode the hosts immerse themselves in experiments, builds and tests as they sleuth the truth behind these and other well Googled themes.”
