First Annual Walk 4 Education Supporting Dublin Schools to be Held on May 16

May 3, 2015

Dublin, CA — American Swim Academy is hosting a Walk 4 Education to benefit the Dublin Partners in Education (DPIE) and the Dublin schools. The walk takes place at Dublin High School – Gael’s Stadium on Saturday, May 16 from 9am until 12pm. The Dublin community, as well as students, friends and families from every Dublin school, are invited to participate in the walk to raise funds and awareness for the Dublin Partners in Education.

“This is an exciting new venture as we kick off our first annual Walk 4 Education. The Walk 4 Education is an opportunity for Dublin Partners in Education to collaborate with all of the schools in the Dublin Unified School District. This is an occasion for the community to come together and celebrate our wonderful schools, our families, school employees and our business supporters in Dublin,” said Dr. Stephen Hanke , Dublin’s Superintendent

Registration is open to the public at www.AmericanSwimAcademy.com/DPIE. The entry fee is just $5 and each registered participant will receive a t-shirt and refreshments. There will also be a Family Fun Festival during the walk with live entertainment, DJ music, family-friendly booths and more. “The event will be fun for the entire family and a great way for the community to show support for the schools, said Kristin Sand, Director of the American Swim Academy in Dublin. “We are hoping this walk is a step in the right direction toward a brighter future for our children.”

The Dublin Partners in Education Foundation (DPIE) delivers highly desired educational enhancement programs that are left unfunded by other means. Since its inception in 1992, DPIE has brought together generous support from the business community, local service organizations, and citizen volunteers, to provide a diverse range of services and funding to all Dublin schools at all levels. “Everyone has walks– but this is the Walk 4 Everyone! Dublin Partners in Education has partnered with American Swim Academy and their wonderful crew to accomplish an event that showcases our businesses, schools and community with an energizing three-hour event,” said Susan Campbell, Executive Director of DPIE. “This is a family fun festival and a chance to earn money for our schools. We are looking forward to seeing which school wins the extra $500 for having the most walkers,” she added.
