Dublin High School Class of 2010 Commencement: “Let it Shine”

Dublin High School Class of 2010 Graduates

OneDublin.org had the honor and privilege to attend the Dublin High School Class of 2010 Commencement Ceremony, the 40th in Dublin High’s distinguished history, capturing highlights with photographs and video.  Deserving students, surrounded by a full house of friends, family and members of the community, were recognized by their teachers and members of the school board for four years of success at Dublin High School.  The ceremony was blessed by perfect weather and well considered words of wisdom from each speaker under the unifying canopy of the Alameda County Fairgrounds Amphitheater.

US Army Color Guard: Presentation of Colors

The theme of the evening was “Let it Shine” – and the evening shined brightly.  Bagpipes (courtesy of bagpiper Jeff Campbell) flowed into the Dublin High School Symphonic Band’s performance of “Pomp and Circumstance”; the United States Army Color Guard’s majestic Presentation of Colors welcomed our National Anthem; speeches and awards built anticipation for the presentation of diplomas and ultimately the celebratory turning of the tassels.

Dublin High School’s Class of 2010 has been an inspiration for the community – and the students that follow in their footsteps.  To the Dublin students still looking forward to high school graduation and college in the years to come – these are your role models.

For those who couldn’t attend (and for those that want to relive some of the highlights) here is a subset of the speeches and festivities:
