Dublin High School PFSO Update 8-24-2011

The latest update from the Dublin High School PFSO (previous updates available here).

• The Fall Sport parent meeting at 7p.m. tonight is confirmed as being in the Sports Complex (new gym) Remember this meeting is only for Fall sports(football, cross country, girls tennis,girls golf, girls volleyball)
• The Administration at DHS would like to thank all the parent volunteers that helped with registration.
• Class of 2015 (freshman parents) I don’t have nearly the amount of email addresses that I should have for a class your size. There are many, many parents out there that are not going to get a whole bunch of valuable information. I am hoping that those of you on my list will reach out to other parents you might know to check and see if they are receiving emails from me. If they aren’t they can email me at dublinhighpfso@dublinhighpfso.com and asked to be added. Please help!
• Senior Parents-There is a parent meeting on Monday, August 29, at 7:00 p.m., in the Little Theater at DHS for information about your student’s senior year activities.In addition to discussing the variety of activities, we’ll have volunteer sign-up sheets available for areas where we’ll need some help. We encourage you to get involved with the Class of 2012 activities this year. It truly is a GREAT group of kids, and you’ll be rewarded many times over!

  You will also have an opportunity to pre-purchase a Senior Class sweatshirt for your student, if you didn’t do that at Fall Check-In.

• Athletic Boosters cards for the 2011-2012 season can be purchased through the Activities Office at DHS. Memberships are $135 for a family, $75 for a single adult family, and $35 for alumni or district employee. The passes give you free admission to any DHS regular season home game as well as informative updates on what is going on with DHS Athletics this upcoming year. You can also purchase a $25 Membership to support boosters but this membership does not give admittance to games. Extra registration forms are available in the Activities Office.
• The Rock n Jump fundraiser previously reported to be on Friday has been rescheduled to next Thursday night. More details to follow.
• There is a Golden Skate fundraiser this Friday, August 26th from 8:30-11. Admission is $9 (plus the cost of skate rentals), and DHS will get $3 per person. There is no fler necessary for this fundraiser, students just need to show their DHS Student Body ID card.
• Discount movie tickets are on sale most Fridays at lunch in front of Student Activities. These non-pass restricted tickets are $7.50 each. Ticket sales benefit the Class of 2014. For more information or to purchase tickets, email: dublinhighpfso@dublinhighpfso.com.
• Please continue to email me if you haven’t already done so to let me know if your child is playing a sport or cheering at DHS. I will need their name and their sport.
• To those that have already emailed me with the sport info, thanks! I am replying to each of you so that you know I have received your reply but I hope you will have patience waiting for my reply, there are a lot of you!!!
• I have saved the best news for last… does everyone realize we have a four day weekend coming up next week? There is a teacher work day on Friday, 9/2 and the following Monday, 9/5 is Labor Day. Woo hoo!!
