TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO GET YOUR RAISE YOUR CLASS GAELA TICKETS

The 4th Annual “Raise Your Class” Gaela will be held on Sat. November 5th at the San Ramon Golf Club at 6:00 p.m. Come join us for an adult evening that will include appetizers, buffet dinner, no-host bar, as well as dancing. There will also be silent, live, and dessert auctions plus lots of great raffle items!

Tickets are on sale until 10/23 for $55 per person. To purchase tickets,visit the online store at http://www.dublinhighpfso.com/PFSO-STORE.html. You can mail a check made out to Dublin High PFSO and also include a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

Tickets can also be purchased on Fridays at lunch where the movie tickets are sold (in front of Student Activities). For questions, please email dhsfundraising@yahoo.com. You can also contact Yvonne 828-7060 or Stacey 833-0884. Tables are reserved in groups of 10, so get a group of friends together and purchase your table now! You can also sponsor a staff member by purchasing a ticket for them! Come join a fun evening and help support our kids and our school at the same time!

Also visit the online store to become a Friend with Class donor that will be acknowledged in our event program for $25.

ATTENTION FRESHMAN AND SOPHOMORE PARENTS: DON’T MISS PARENT NIGHT

Please mark your calendars for Parents’ Night with the counselors on Wed., Oct. 12 at 6:30p.m. in the Little Theatre. Students are welcome. The counselors will go over SAT/ACT information, college applications, career pathways and college options.

They will also review updates from the CSU and UC systems regarding impaction and college admission. Also useful is Dublin High Counselor Caroline Rubio’s article and presentation – read more…

It will be very worthwhile to come to these nights, but in case you are unable, the counseling department will be posting their Power Point presentations on the website.

Scrip Renewal

Please remember to visit http://www.escrip.com/ and renew your account to benefit Dublin High PFSO. Each year your escrip account must be renewed by November 1st in order for the school to receive monies through your Safeway purchases.

FUNDRAISERS GALORE!

  • Regal movie tickets will be on sale every Friday (except homecoming week) in front of Student Activities at lunch. Ticket prices are $7.50 per ticket for non pass-restricted movies. Parents who want to buy tickets in bulk can contact 828-7060 or email Cyber Stacey at dublinhighpfso@dublinhighpfso.com to make arrangements. This fundraiser benefits the Class of 2014.
  • The Dublin Irish Guard Band Boosters will be having a Free E-Waste Recycling Event taking place on Saturday October 15 from 9a.m.-3p.m. at DHS. Look for a flier from Cyber Stacey when it gets a little closer.
  • Save The Date- the Senior and Junior classes will be having a fundraiser on Tuesday, November 8th at Chipotle in Dublin. Please look for fliers to be emailed sometime in the coming weeks. Chipotle will be donating 50% of the proceeds back to the classes. Look for another benefitting the Freshmen and Sophomore classes in the spring.

Book Drive during Homecoming Week

The students at DHS wanted to add a community service component to homecoming this year so they are having a book drive. Students are encouraged to donate used books and their class will be given homecoming points based on participation. Books will be donated to the Friends of the Dublin Library.

Dublin High School’s Student Store is Open!

Students and parents can purchase their DHS Spirit Wear at the Student Store. Items such as DHS blankets, rally towels, hats, scarves, polo shirts plus sweatshirts and more are available.

The store is located inside Student Activities with items available for purchase each day during school hours. Checks for purchases will be made payable to DHS Athletic Boosters. For questions or more information, please contact Terri Dyer by email at btdyer@comcast.net

Come See the First Drama Club Production of the Year!

DHS Drama will be presenting William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” for a three-night and one-day run this month, Thursday October 20 through Sunday, October 23. Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be 7:00p.m. start times while Sunday will have a 2 p.m. matinee showing. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students. Science Seminar at Las Positas

The seminar, “Restoring Sight to the Blind: Bringing Hope through Technology,” will open the second season of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL)/Las Positas College Science and Engineering Seminar Series on Monday, October 3, 6-7:15 p.m. in the Barbara Fracisco Mertes Center for the Arts. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is $2.
