Dublin High School Athletic Boosters Update 12-7-2011

To be added to the Dublin High School Athletics email distribution list contact dhsathleticboosters@dhsathleticboosters.com.

  • We are so very proud of the Dublin High School Varsity Football team for making it all the way to the semi-final round of the North Coast Sectionals!  There were a lot of folks that made the trek up to Windsor to cheer on our boys and it just showed everyone what a great, supportive community we have at Dublin High School.
    • We had about 75 people that were following the big game on Twitter.  A special thank you to Michelle McDonald for setting up the twitter account and for tweeting the game.  We anticipate using Twitter for more NCS games in other sports as well so stay tuned.
  • Congratulations to the Dublin High School Women’s Varsity Basketball team that won their Merced tournament and are now the Lady Cougar Classic Champions.  Lady Gael Shannon Irwin was named MVP of the tournament and Alison Martinez was selected to the All Tournament team.
  • The Women’s Varsity basketball team is having a fundraiser at Panda Express on Saturday. Please see the attached flier.  You may also want to check out the team on Saturday as they have a 2p.m. game at Dublin High School vs. College Park.
  • Congratulations to Men’s JV basketball player Diego Guardiola who was selected to the All Tournament team of the Freedom High School Tournament.
  • The Dublin High School Cheer team competed in their first Regional Competition with an organization called JAMZ in hopes of qualifying for their Nationals in Las Vegas this February.  The team qualified and took home 4th place against other Nationally ranked teams.
  • The Dublin High School Song Pom team competed in their first ever competition and took 3rd place!
  • Boosters are getting ready to install another section of commemorative bricks in front of the Sports Complex.  The installation will happen sometime in February.  If you would like to be a part of Dublin history, please see the attached brick order form and clip art form.  Bricks are $100 and could make a great Holiday present!
  • Please don’t forget the Booster store in Student Activities for your holiday needs.  We have sweatshirts, hats, scarves, and stadium chairs that might be the perfect Holiday gift for the Gael in your life.  For questions please contact Terri at btdyer@comcast.net

Go Gaels!!
