Friday, May 6, marks the date of the Athletic Boosters’ 7th Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, but we need your help in making this a success. The event kicks off with a “shotgun” start at 1:00 p.m. at the San Ramon Golf Club. A “Cinco de Mayo” themed dinner will follow at the Shannon Center in Dublin at 6:00 p.m. For golfers, tickets are $150, which includes a round of golf, lunch, a tournament shirt, usage of a golf cart, and dinner. Gather a foursome and play for the reduced price of $550. Not a golfer? Bring friends and come to the fiesta dinner and dance. Tickets are just $35 for the dinner, which includes a grilled steak and chicken fajita platter, plus all of the fixings for a Mexican feast. Pave the Way for Success at DHS: Buy a Brick!

If you’ve seen the walkway leading to the new Athletic Center at Dublin High, you’ve probably noticed the beautiful brick inlay, lasered with names of past or current DHS students. You, too, can support the Athletic Boosters by purchasing a brick with your student’s name and, at the same time, leave a lasting legacy at Dublin High. Bricks are currently on sale for $100, but prices could go up next year. To download an order form, go to:, and click on “links/forms”. Read more…

Register with to Support our Athletes!

Do you know that the Athletic Boosters could earn THOUSANDS for our athletes without any extra fundraising? It is as simple as registering your family (relatives and neighbors, too) in free eScrip rebate programs. Major supermarkets, like Safeway, and businesses donate 2-4% of all purchases back to the Athletic Boosters. Simply go to and register your Safeway Club Card and other credit cards, and choose the “Dublin High Athletic Boosters” as your beneficiary. Read more…

Athletic Department Welcomes New Head Football Coach John Wade

The Dublin High School Athletic Department recently held a reception at the DUSD Board Room to welcome new Head Football Coach John Wade. About 40 people gathered to welcome Mr. Wade and three of his assistant coaches to Dublin High. Parents and fans learned a bit about the new offensive and defensive schemes for the Gaels. Coach Wade comes to Dublin High from Miramonte High School in Orinda, where he served as head coach for nine seasons. During those years at Miramonte, the Matadors had an overall record of 78-33, earning four DFAL Titles, the most recent coming this past season.

Other coaches joining Wade at Dublin High are:

  • Mark Bywater – Defensive Coordinator
  • Brent Evans – OL/DL
  • Taylor Humphrey – QB
  • Warren Parker – WR

At the reception, DHS Principal Carol Shimizu said that Dublin High “struck gold” by hiring Wade. Read more… about John Wade in Dublin Patch.

Charter High School Update

Recently, Dublin High supporters let out a holler when it was announced that the Tri-Valley Learning Corporation had withdrawn its petition to the State of California for the proposed charter high school, Tassajara Prep. Celebrations were short-lived, however, when the TPHS founders announced that they will be re-submitting their proposal for the new high school. By withdrawing their petition, the Tri-Valley Learning Corporation must go through the approval process from the beginning. The Dublin High Athletic Boosters’ board does not support the proposed charter school, as TPHS will likely drain funding that would support quality programs at DHS, including AP and honors classes, the arts, and athletics.

Key reasons for opposing the Tassajara Prep charter petition are available here.
