This should be mandatory reading for any school board that is contemplating getting rid of their music/arts programs (the Fairfield board perhaps?). As a mother of a senior UCLA Bruin marching band member, and a sophomore CSU Fullerton music education major, I have seen firsthand what music has done for my daughters’ overall growth in life, and every child should be given the opportunity to have music enhance their lives.
